Summer Games and Sports Day
Dear Parents:
We would like to inform you of an exciting outing that will take place on Friday 6th June. We will celebrate our Summer Games and Sports Day at http://www.raespordikeskus.ee/
Parents and relatives are welcome to join this active and healthy day participating in games like “Bop Ball”, “Dosenwerfen”, “Kickball”; Team sports like basketball, football, floorball… and individual sports like roller-skating (all levels), skate-boarding (only advanced)…Skates and/or skate-board, pads and helmets are to be provided by the participant. Bicycles, tennis racquets and other equipment can be brought by parents to the sport facility during the day.
The outing will take the entire school day although the activity itself will be from 10.00 to 14.00.
Our students are expected to wear appropriate clothing for the occasion, and depending on weather conditions some water games might be included. Your child is expected to bring extra clothing, besides wearing sports trainers and sport clothing. Swimming suit/bikini is also recommended.
Picnic bags will be provided by our canteen instead of the regular menu. The rest of the expenses will be covered by TES.
Students are advised to bring healthy snacks, liquid refreshments and sunscreen protection in a small backpack tagged with their name. Sunscreen protection lotion should be applied first time in the morning at home.
No mobile telephones or any other electronic devices are to be brought on the outing. In urgent cases please contact the administration on +372 735 0550.
Looking forward to see you all on Friday.

Dear family,
Thank you for your participation in Spring Concert and at the meeting yesterday! It has been a busy week but I hope you enjoyed the concert and found the meeting useful.
I talked to the speech therapist who said that she will take Tadas tomorrow to evaluate him. We will let you know how it goes.
I also wanted to tell you that I assessed both boys this week and was very happy to see that they have progressed!
TADAS did the "What does not belong?" task very well but had some trouble ordering picture sequences. He has started adding and subtracting and knows the difference between these two, although he still sometimes gets confused and adds when he should subtract or vice versa. He knows the sounds of all the letters, except I, C, U and he is starting to read words. He is also able to write most letters and even wrote some simple CVC words (cat, dad, hat). Good start!
MAGNAS had a bit of trouble with remembering complex instructions (he also finds it difficult to focus for the whole duration of our circle time, although there have been some days lately when he has done it really well!) and he made one mistake in "What does not belong?" (which I think could also be related to attention and wanting to finish quickly). But he ordered the pictures into a sequence very well, knew the names of most letters (I, H, F, D, V with help) and was also able to write most of them. He still could not read CVC words without help but he could write some words when I sounded them out (mop, map, hop, up, on). Well done!
Perhaps watching Alphablocks would help them learn to connect the letter sounds into words: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PRsOQVxyDc
Thank you for your help!
Best regards,
Kerstin
Cameron Christopher got Assessment Grade Language 1- Cameron's project is an excellent piece of work. The work itself is great - but it is Cameron's attitude that deserves the A grade. He was constantly enthused about each part of the project. Asking questions, taking care in his work, and amending any errors.
Specifically, Cameron enhanced his research and spelling skills during the project.
Well done!

- Cameron changed his book as he could not follow the plot of the story. He has now started from book 1 in the series. He read to me fairly well, though he tends to rush over new words without trying to sound them out. I recommended that he reads at a slower pace in order to decipher new sounds.

- I just want to inform you that today in class, after a classmate said "Go away" to a teacher who was standing in front of the MondoPad, Magnas repeated it by saying "Go away, jerk.".
It looked like he did not know what it meant so I think that explaining that it was unpolite was enough so he would not repeat it.
I would not give it too much importance but I just wanted you to know.

- Tadas listened well to the story I told but then started fooling around and didn't take part in the pair work or in telling his own story with his partner. This is a shame as Tadas usually participates excellently in my lessons and produces good work.
- Tadas Edwin got Lesson Grade Nursery Education- Kerstin Must, 17.02.2014 14:49
- He often needs help and extra time to finish his work. Possibly it is related to the fact that he just started with us and has not had the preparation his classmates have had. The first few days, he left the table without finishing his work but he has quickly learned the importance of finishing and usually makes the effort to finish.
