Paris July 24-28, 2014

What an amazing trip we had to Paris.  We rented an apartment a block from Arc de Triomphe and explored the city with our GoPro for 5 days.  To spend out time wisely, we decided to walk everywhere so we can see more.  By the end of the trip Chris clocked 50+ miles on his GPS watch - that is 2 two full marathons with a 9 year old, two 5 year old twins and a husband that had a foot operation a few weeks ago.  That not including all the steps we took: Arc de Triomphe - 284 steps; Eiffel Tower - 669 and our apartment had 58 stairs
We had to visit Eiffel Tower a few times.  1st day, then went back to see it at night and finally we climbed all the way to the top of it.
We also climbed to the top of Arc de Triomphe to take some amazing pictures of the city.

In those few days we had to make our way to the Louvre.  Unfortunately we didn't make it inside to see the Mona Lisa but did get to see the long lines to enter the museum and it's beautiful architecture from the outside.
One of the main reason to visit Paris was to see the last stage of Tour de France bike race.  That was Chris's dream come true but boys and I enjoyed it as equally.

Valga Sprint Trithlon and Viljandi visit June 14-15

Cameron and I did Valga Sprint Triathlon.  It's amazing that children race FREE in Estonia and most triathlons don't start till later in the day.  During Valga, Cameron was starting at 3pm and amateur adults at 5pm.  However of a big storm rolling in everything was delayed an hour.  I have never swam in the race during the rain with big black clouds around us.
We rented a lovely farm house to stay over night.  One problem we had was to find it because it was located somewhere in the woods and the owner spoke very little English.  I had to put my Russian to work and get us there:-)
